Tybera Integrates LegalXML Filings into Utah Courts' Case Management System
Tybera's eFlex solution allows Utah courts to receive LegalXML filings into their case management system
OREM, Utah - August 7, 2002 - Tybera Development, a provider of e-filing solutions for courts and attorneys, today successfully completed integration efforts that will allow legal filings produced by attorneys in MS Word, WordPerfect or Web forms to file them electronically to Utah courts, where the case management system is automatically updated.
This now means that documents filed by attorneys to the court electronically will automatically be accepted into the courts case management system. Documents received are checked for authentication and securely filed for future use. "We will save a considerable amount of clerical time and money when this process is automated," says Jerome Battle, CIO of Utah Courts.
Following the June 21, 2002 LegalXML technical committee meeting on Court Filing, Tybera and the Utah Courts decided to update their filing process to support the Court Filing 1.1 specification. This specification has been submitted as a recommendation to the joint technical committee of COSCA and NACM.
"Tybera took the lead in mapping out a strategy to quickly integrate our eFlex solution to accommodate the new LegalXML standard. In just three weeks time the updates were complete and ready for testing," says Dallas Powell, President of Tybera Development.
