Tybera Presents E-Filing Solutions to E-Courts Conference in Las Vegas Mr. Dallas Powell, President of Tybera, presents several e-filing business models courts should consider when comparing e-filing solutions LAS VEGAS, Nevada - December 11, 2002 - Tybera Development Group, provider of eFlex, an e-filing solution that allow courts, attorneys and government agencies to file documents electronically, announced today that Dallas Powell presented several e-filing business models to the attendees at this years E-Court Conference held at the Aladdin Hotel Resort and Casino. Mr. Powell's presentation focused on the various business models that are available for e-filing, their advantages and the business and interoperability issues associated with each model. "It's really a matter of understanding what your courts' business model is," says Mr. Powell. "Do you want to be in control of original court documents and the 'how and why' of fee collection, or are you comfortable with turning these responsibilities over to capable service providers? Both have their advantages and both are supported by Tybera" states Mr. Powell. Tybera is the only e-filing vendor that supports the software-licensing model. Courts purchase an eFlex license, integrate eFlex to their case management, document management and accounting system, and then determine whether attorneys will be charged transaction fees or not. With eFlex, courts continue to maintain complete control of all e-filing fees. Tybera also supports the service provider model that allows courts to avoid up-front software licensing costs in favor of individual filing fees that help defray system costs. "When a court decides on a business model that is best for them and then considers the value in maintaining an open interface for any other attorney or state agency to integrate with it, eFlex's scalability is immediately recognized," says Mr. Powell.
